SEATTLE — The Mariners are sweetening the deal for any fans who choose to get vaccinated at T-Mobile Park during their upcoming home stand. Since May, the City of Seattle and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health have been offering free vaccination at three locations inside the ballpark: Edgar's Home Run Porch, near the left-field foul poleNear section 105Rooftop Boardwalk on the View level (300 level)Fans who do get vaccinated at T-Mobile Park have the rare opportunity to choose between all three approved COVID-19 vaccines, Moderna, Pfizer or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. But starting June 14, that deal is getting even better as fans who get vaccinated at the park will also get a free pair of tickets to an upcoming Mariners game, plus a $20 Amazon gift card. According to the team, those free tickets will be redeemable for any regular season Mariners game after July 2. The move complements the team's other big vaccine incentive: the vaccinated only seating section. During that same home stand — which runs June 14th through the 23rd — the team will be dramatically increasing seating with a particular emphasis on seating for fans who are already immunized against COVID-19. During that time, the team will be selling up to 30,945 tickets per game. 26,265 tickets are for the vaccinated-only section, which does not require social distancing, or masks among other, less stringent COVID-19 safety regulations. The remaining 4,680 tickets will be sold in groups of 1-6 seats, to be placed in socially distanced pods where mask use is required. The team plans to open T-Mobile to full, non-socially distanced capacity starting next month. The team has plans to announce ticket sales for those games soon.
