1st Due to Heavy Rescue & Rapid Vehicle Extrication - Hands On Training Event - Paratech - Holmatro - GFARS Newnan Georgia 1st Due to Heavy Rescue & Rapid Vehicle Extrication is an 8 hour - one day Hands On Training event that is jammed packed full of the latest information and techniques to provide emergency responders the knowledge, skills and abilities to quickly and efficiently handle some of today’s challenging heavy rescue and vehicle extrication challenges. The event is broken up into two four-hour blocks. One four-hour block is comprised of stations that focuses on rescue lifting, shifting and stabilization operations pertaining to vehicles, heavy objects and collapse (buildings / trench) with Paratech Rescue Equipment. The second four-hour block focuses on simplifying normally challenging real world vehicle extrication with techniques that are time saving, which equates to life saving techniques. These latest techniques will assist you with developing and implementing your rapid extrication plan while using the latest equipment technology from Holmatro Rescue Equipment. Lead Instructors: Jason Johnson, Paratech Rescue Tool Specialist and Jarrett Jenkins, Holmatro Rescue Tool Specialist. Hosting Agency: Newnan Fire Department Training Location: Newnan - Coweta Training Center, 473 Greison Trail Newnan, GA 30263 GFARS requires that while on the training ground all participants must bring and wear full PPE. Full PPE is a helmet, eye protection, long sleeves, gloves, pants, and boots. Full structural turnout gear is not mandatory. Technical Rescue P.P.E. is preferred. Hosting agency and / or participant's department P.P.E. requirements may exceed this and shall be followed. This event has limited space available. Registration is first come first served basis. Maximum 4 attendees per company.
