Celebrating news of freedom for our ancestors in 1865 and celebrating US in 2021 and the work that must continue for Black Freedom to thrive Emergent Justice, PACCT, UPLift Kalamazoo, Urban Democracy FEAST, Urban Exposure Initiative, Fresh Start and Majyck Radio have partnered together to create a space of fellowship,celebration and sharing. Kalamazoo will be anchoring the event to include live music performances featuring: SkitzoMichigan & Kreative Kitty and theatrical performance by Khadijah Brown Featuring documentary, Amend: The Fight for America https://www.netflix.com/title/80219054 Joining virtually from Detroit, Benton Harbor and communities in between, Kalamazoo will be hosting organizations that will share information and resources they offer.
