One in ten individuals have this disease, with symptoms often appearing in adolescence. As classrooms begin to open up, Endometriosis education can slowly begin to make its way back to the forefront where it belongs. Education surrounding the disease is one of the most vital tools for lessening the seven to ten-year delay in diagnosis. Research needs our support as well. Now that researchers are back in the lab, they need, now more than ever, to continue the critical work of finding the origins of this disease, as well as better diagnosis and treatment options. We need your support as the fight for critical endometriosis legislation continues. There is a lot of work to do and little time to lose! EndoFound, founded by Padma Lakshmi and Tamer Seckin, MD., is the leading endometriosis non-profit in the United States. Striving to increase disease recognition, provide advocacy, facilitate expert surgical training, and fund landmark endometriosis research, EndoFound is engaged in a robust campaign to inform both the medical community and the public about the disease. EndoFound places particular emphasis on the critical importance of early diagnosis and effective intervention while simultaneously providing education to the next generation of medical professionals and their patients.
