Description
TINLEY PARK, IL — The Kirby School District 140 Band had its first in-person, outdoor concert in over a year on Wednesday. The concert comes after the coronavirus pandemic prevented the band from practicing in person, or preforming, for some time over the school year.
The district-wide band had more than 70 participants from both district middle schools —Prairie View and Grissom. The bands performed live for family and friends, and attendees were able to enjoy the band's diverse repertoire and gorgeous weather.
District band directors Mr. Hodges, Mr. Szczasny and Ms. Schubbe are proud of the students involved.
