Job Title: Shop Janitor/Cleaner Stevinson Toyota West is seeking a Shop Janitor/Cleaner to join their Service team. Previous shop experience is helpful. Compensation: $15 per hour based on experience + $1500.00 Sign-On / Retention Bonus Work Hours: Full Time schedule as defined JOB Description SUMMARY Responsible to making sure the Stevinson Toyota West shops are kept clean, including: emptying garbage, running Zambonis, power washing the carwash, and other duties that would enhance the appearance of the shops. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES • Greet all customer entering the service area with a positive attitude. • Clean the service drive and service areas as directed by management. Including removing trash, cleaning the floors, wiping down surfaces, etc. • Clean out drains to prevent clogging. • Remove junk tires and dispose of properly. • Clean out carwash with the use of a pressure washer. • Sweeping the shops as necessary. • Using a push or riding Zamboni to scrub the shop floors. • Using trash pickup truck to gather and empty trash bins. • Snow and debris removal from the service area. • Make sure the work areas are kept organized, free of debris and loose tools. SKILLS and REQUIRMENTS • 1 to 3 months related experience is preferred but not required. • Excellent driving and parking skills required. • English language required (bilingual is a plus) • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one with supervisor and customer and small group situations with customers. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. • Valid Driver’s License • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. • Regularly exposed to all weather elements.
