Description
No, not a typo. Locks meaning hair. So I'm a woman with a condition called alopecia, where your own immune system attacks the follicles that grow your hair and I am almost completely bald. It is similar to male pattern baldness. It is not painful or life threatening but can do a number on your self esteem. Not only that, I have dated men when wearing a beautiful wig that looks so natural so that they wouldn't judge me by my looks of lack of locks lol. And I would date several times to see if we were compatible, even sharing intimacy with some. A few even talked about long term and possible marriage. When I knew that we would be a possible match, that's when I would tell them about the alopecia.
Well, talk about men running for the hills! lol Suddenly I got the excuse that they realized that they really weren't ready for a relationship after all... or I would never hear from them again.
How can you go from loving/liking someone to dropping them like hot cakes?
I can see that some would consider it a type of deception but come on it's only hair! How many bald men wear a hat to cover their baldness? And how many woman cake on the face make up, false eyelashes, fake nails, padded uplift bras, girdles, and even hair extensions to hide and cover their flaws?
What is the difference of wearing a wig to cover mine?
No one looks the same at the end of the day when they take it all off!
So here I am, a good woman passed by..... :(
