Irish Band

Description

Looking to get the band back together. I moved here last year from Arizona, where I had a pretty solid Irish (influenced) Folk/Rock band going, called The Paddy Shaggers. You can look us up on Facebook, Reverb Nation, YouTube, etc. I'd like to get something similar going here. Ideally, for me it'd be a bit more punk, like Dropkick Murphys, but however things work out with the musicians that mesh and get along, is good with me. I sing and play electric and acoustic guitar; mostly rhythm. I can play some leads here and there too. I'm looking for some or all of the following: drummer, bodhran player, bass guitarist, lead guitarist, banjo player, fiddler/violinist, cellist, flutist, tin whistle player, bagpiper, piccolo player, accordionist, mandolin/bouzouki player, or what d'ya got? I also don't mind sharing vocal duties... as a matter of fact, I like lots of vocals... again, Dropkick Murphys. My influences for this type of music include, but are not limited to: The Mahones, Dropkick Murphys (as you might have guessed), The Rumjacks, Social Distortion, Flogging Molly, Wicked Tinkers, The Pogues, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Young Dubliners, Bad Religion, Barleyjuice, Christy Moore, and the list goes on. Ideally, for me, now that things have opened up again, I'd like to play out one to two times per month, but again, I'm open to however it works out as a band. For now, I just want to start playing again with some decent musicians as it takes awhile to build up a 3-hour set. That seems to be what most of the Irish pubs want... a bit strenuous for these old bones, but better than a no-hour set. Please hit me up if you're interested. I have no problem collaborating with some distancing, online, or whatever we decide is safe until this covid stuff is under control. Thanks for reading, Shayn
