Girl Killed In Phoenix Shooting; 1 Arrested

PHOENIX, AZ — A 17-year-old girl was killed in a west Phoenix shooting near 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road in the early morning hours of Friday, Phoenix police said. The victim was shot by a man that approached the vehicle that her family was traveling in, according to police. No other people in the vehicle were injured in the shooting, which occurred around 1 a.m., police said. The accused shooter, who has not been identified by police, has been arrested in connection with the shooting, according to police.
