Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 06/04/2021   On Friday June 4, 2021 at around 5:10am officers responded to Atlanta Medical Center on a report of a person shot. At the scene officers found that an adult male, with a gunshot wound, had transported himself to the hospital and was in critical condition. While officers were at the hospital units were called to 2819 Grand Ave SW where they met with a witness, an adult female, who reported that there had been a person shot at her home. The female told officers that she had been in her home with a male friend when her former boyfriend came to the house and tried to force entry through a window. The male friend shot the former boyfriend. The former boyfriend fled and drove himself to the hospital for treatment. The male shooter fled the house on foot. This investigation is continuing.
