Established San Luis Obispo area Civil Engineering Contractor seeking motivated, professional, and career minded Construction Laborers to be long term members of our team. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude and who are eager to come to work. Our projects throughout the year are typically a blend of 75% to 80% prevailing wage projects with 20% to 25% in the private sector. Projects are typically performed in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Kern and Monterey Counties. When out of town Specialty pays for motel rooms and a daily per diem where required. Most of our projects are within a commutable range. Applicant needs to have a strong commitment to safety, professional conduct and the ability to be a key part of the construction team. Class A driver experience a bonus, but not required. Physically demanding position for various labor related tasks supporting underground construction, concrete formwork and placement, pump station and/or facility work related to installing pipe, valves & fittings, placement and compaction of backfill, underground pipeline, ground work associated with heavy equipment excavation & grading, and asphalt placement support.
