Home of Guiding Hands, HGH, is currently looking for a Groundskeeper to maintain the agency grounds on a daily basis to achieve the highest standards of litter free, well maintained grounds. The Groundskeeper supports general agency operations while maintaining the upkeep of property grounds and landscaping. Job Requirements: -Must be 18 years of age or older -High School Diploma or GED -6 months of related landscaping experience -Valid CA driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience Benefits available! -Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits -403b Retirement Plan -Paid sick and vacation accrual on every hour worked -Life Insurance Coverage -Pet Insurance -Paid Training: Pro-Act, CPR & amp; First Aid, monthly in-services -Employee Referral Program -Employee Recognition Program -Discounted movie tickets, cell phone plans, amusement parks tickets, etc. ** Benefits may vary ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all property hardscape areas. i.e., parking lots, patios, loading docks, sidewalks, etc. -Mows, trims, edges, fertilizes, aerates and waters landscaped areas; weeds, prunes, mulches, feeds, fertilizes, irrigates and applies pesticides to plans, shrubs and trees. -Install new landscaping and renovate existing. -Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the installation, repair and maintenance of irrigation systems for landscaped areas, including valves and electronic timing devices; inspects and services irrigation systems to ensure safe and proper operation, digs trenches and ditches; performs semi-skilled plumbing maintenance work; plans and sketches the layout of new sprinkler systems; performs semi-skilled electrical maintenance and repairs. -Trim and mow banks and fringe areas as well as property trees and shrubs. -Cut and remove dead plants and trees. -Prepares soil for planting; transplants seedlings, shrubs and trees. -Corrects or reports hazardous conditions. -Traps and disposes of rodents. -Clean parking lots, beds and landscaped areas. -Perform pressure washing as scheduled. -Performs preventive maintenance to equipment and tools and makes minor adjustments and repairs; reports the need for major repairs and maintenance. -Ensure that all work is performed, and any waste products disposed of, in accordance with State and Federal law To view the full job description and apply online, please visit:
