Description

Seeking ceramic artisans and potters for light production work 2x a month. I have a thriving online raku pottery business, and a backlog of orders during peak season. Seeking experienced help with raku firing custom pots. I'm willing to barter for use of cone 5 electric kiln, free cone 5 clay. Negotiate access to my small, busy studio. We can pay by the hour for help with raku firings. Firings are done during the morning/day outside, social distancing is not an issue. My studio is transitioning from a small hobby space to pro production this July. I'm getting a larger kiln, and the studio is being renovated. I can set up the electric wheel outside on raku firing days. The studio assistant can have 90 min + wheel time while waiting for the kiln to ramp up to cone 03. I'll bisque fire and glaze fire the wares as The right potter has: both covid vaccinations a heavy denim shirt or 100% cotton jeans jacket welding gloves and welders goggles raku-firing experience with a clam shell kiln experience with propane kiln torch (all the safety pressure valves) is willing to sign accident waiver (we've never been injured during 100+ firings)
