Volunteer Photographer Needed for Food Pantries!

Jobs

New York City NY

Description

+ Do you want to build up your portfolio? + Are you looking for meaningful work? + Would you like to engage with your community & make connections with people who care? Over 1.5 million New Yorkers will go hungry tonight. Lemontree is here to change that. We run a food helpline (http://foodhelpline.org/) to connect our neighbors in need with free food resources. We work with thousands of food pantries & soup kitchens across the city to maintain a comprehensive database on where to get free food. Part of that work is making sure our pantry partners are set up for success. We’re looking for a volunteer photographer to help support these crucial organizations by photographing their staff & food distribution. What You’ll Do + Visit our partner organizations, which are located across the five boroughs, on one of their distribution days + Take headshots of key staff members to celebrate their work on their website + Photograph normal pantry operations for website content + Use basic retouching skills to refine photos + Capture the magic of community engagement! You’ll be telling the story of the pantries & tireless volunteers that keep our neighbors fed, and helping these important community members get the credit they deserve! This is flexible, part-time, volunteer work. You’ll be visiting local pantries on their distribution days for a few hours, then doing any editing work on your own. Other than visiting pantries, the work will be virtual/remote. Please fill out this interest form if you’d like to volunteer with us: https://forms.gle/UaogtEE6B9k68LyZA
