Let it go. You were dismissed nicely so as to not hurt your feelings, but you creeped them out. You continue to creep them out. Why do you think you heard the words 'women's self defense instructor'? The floor wasn't packed like sardines. They were avoiding you and you ruined the evening for them both. Turns out they were right.
