In response to: "Four of my friends have caught Covid. Two of them have died from Covid. If you don't know anyone that has not at least caught covid, then you have no friends." A few things: I'm a retired veteran and have spent hundreds of hours talking to people everywhere about covid, over the past 16 months now. Throughout the Bay Area, I've talked with Home Depot store managers, Safeway/Luckys store managers, managers of super-busy restaurants of all kinds, as well as people involved in Homeless outreach in SF, Oakland and Denver. Collectively, these people interact with 1000's of people on a weekly basis and even up until today NONE of them without exception knows of anybody ANYWHERE that "died of covid". The homeless outreach workers say that the homeless are not being affected by it either, and anybody that lives in or commutes through the city areas can attest this as they clearly see the exact same homeless folks doing the same thing they've been doing forever... completely unaffected by covid. There are >20,000 homeless people in the SF Bay Area alone that are lacking in hygiene, they share everything, and they sleep cramped together in tents/RVs/shelters. How can it possibly be that they are doing just fine (all things considered)? I am also frequently at the local (massive) Veterans Administration hospital where they treat 1000's of sick/elderly/disabled veterans on a weekly basis. Eight different medical pros there all told me to my face that covid is blown WAY out of proportion and that they have hardly observed it affect much of any vets at all. I'm not here trying to convince anybody of anything and frankly I do not care what anyone thinks... I'm just stating my personal experiences and observations in trying to locate even just one healthy person that "died of covid" and to date I have yet to find even one. Lying about it, doesn't make it "more serious" than it is. "Super Deadly pandemics" do not require $billions in advertising and all kinds of bribes to try to convince you get get vaccinated... do they? So go ahead and stay asleep, don't pay attention to the reality that is all around you... it has no bearing on the thinkers amongst us either way.
