Metal Mom/Darkthrone Dad Band Forming

40 year-old Metal Dad with years of band experience looking to form a FUN black/thrash metal act. I am a parent with a career, not a burgeoning rock star. My approach to a new band is to be SINCERE, but not too serious; DEDICATED, but not overwhelmed. Humor is a plus! Band Name: OLDENGREYE (wink wink) I don't flake and I try hard, but I enjoy a low-pressure creative environment for all. I'm thinking weekly practice at my place (small drums and PA), 6-8 gigs a year/weekenders, and maybe some singles recording for fun, not for profit. Everything is flexible. I play guitar. I am not amazing and still working to "get back" some of my previous rhythm/riffing skills. This band is part of my motivation to do so. I'm thinking a power trio of DRUMS and BASS or a SECOND GUITAR through a bass amp. I can cover guitar and blackened vocals, but the more vocal styles the better! I hope we can all collaborate on songwriting/arranging. STYLE: -The most recent 3 DARKTHRONE albums (Underground Cvlt thrash with black metal undertones) -Production and humor in the style of the first two VENOM albums -Attitude in the vein of KISS' Creatures of the Night mixed with Celtic Frost's Morbid Tales DRUMS: No blast beats required (we are too OLD!), but double bass would be great. We'll see... BASS/GUITAR: Solid riffs and rhythm, but no flashy leads needed.
