Let’s start a weird funk band

Greetings, With things opening up, I’m hoping to find some players to jam/gig with. I play guitar and have some songs from my last band, but eager to scrap or rework anything that doesn’t work. I’m not particularly interested in covers or standards, although I love an occasional movie theme. I need a rock solid drummer and bass player, but am totally open to others as well. I would love for the music to groove and be at least somewhat accessible in this Americana-heavy town. My last band was too heady and complicated, which was totally a fault of my writing. I hope to fix that with your help. Basically, funky, melodic, unison lines, spontaneous open sections, energetic rhythms, loose feel, songs to make heads bounce. Thanks for looking.
