The San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society is a nonprofit no kill shelter. They have weekly adoption fairs at the Petco on Nevada near UCCS. They are there Saturdays from 11:00 to 3:00, sometimes longer. There have been several litters of abandoned puppies lately. Many puppies will be up for adoption tomorrow.
