Shift 5:30 am - 2:00 pm
Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Event
• Prepares appetizing and palatable meals in a timely fashion and in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
• Exercises portion control when serving food.
• Prepares meals based on planned menu guidelines and special dietary instructions.
• Monitors trays to ensure accuracy of meals.
• Uses good independent judgment when preparing and seasoning meals and follows facility guidelines for storage.
• Ensures adequate supplies and food are readily available for all meals.
• Receives inventory stock and appropriately stores food and supplies.
• Assists with daily cleaning of equipment, tools and areas within the kitchen.
• Responds professional to complaints or concerns promptly.
• Plans dietary services in conjunction with other departments.
• Assists with serving of meals when necessary.
• Assists with preparation of meals for facility events, parties, etc.
• Assists with supervision and direction of the dietary department
