Alpine is an equal opportunity employer who offers a competitive wage and benefits: • Wage, from $18-$22/start • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance • Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays • 401(k) match Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor (Swing) Reports to: Warehouse Manager FLSA:Non-Exempt Position Information: Responsibility to coordinate and supervise all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under direction from the Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing the daily activity of shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Essential Position Functions: • Management of Inbound and Outbound activities • Assigning workload and equipment to staff • Employee daily schedule (breaks & departure) • Reconciling shipments in and out of the facility • Processing all warehouse documents • Employee training and ongoing evaluation of employee competencies • Coaching and mentoring employees in a professional manner • Ability to work weekends and rotating shifts (days, nights) • Other duties/projects as assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Good Leadership skills; a track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing a team environment. • Ability to multi-task at a high level and keep organized. • Knowledge of general warehouse operations • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in all areas of work • Ability to make decisions independently. • High level of reliability and dependability Education & Experience: • Prior experience with a Warehouse Management System and good technical skills • Supervisory or management responsibilities in a warehouse environment; 1-3 years Special Skills: • Desire to contribute to a positive culture and be a leader of a cohesive team • Desire to learn and advance. • Drive to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers Physical Demands: • Ability to reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 50 lbs. • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear and reach with hands and arms. • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, and turn in a safe manner. • Exhibit manual dexterity and good hand/eye coordination to move freight. • Work in a freezer and cooler environments. • Pass physical agility test Work Environment: • This job operates in a warehouse environment, walking and riding on equipment • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at times may be necessary. • Requires standing, bending, sitting, repetitive use hands/fingers. • Constant temperature changes involving outside weather, refrigerated and freezer warehouse Supervision: • This position has direct Supervisory responsibility of an assigned Warehouse team. • This position guides the work of others. Organizes, set priorities, schedules and reviews work. Limited responsibility to recommend hiring and terminations, review performance or make pay decisions. This position receives Supervision from the Warehouse Manager. In some cases, Manager outlines steps involved in completing assignments, or standard procedures are available to enable the employee to work in a routine fashion. The end results of this work are sometimes checked.
