Port City Auto Parts is looking to fill a position within our growing company! We are hiring for a parts puller/general laborer. Below is attached a description of the job functions and requirements. ***Please reply to the ad with an attached resume or send attached in email to [email protected] with “PCAP Parts Puller” in the subject line. *** Job Summary: The Parts Puller is responsible for correctly locating, identifying and safely removing parts off of vehicles. Essential Functions: - Safely maneuver around the yard and warehouse. - Locate and identify auto parts from a provided work order. - Safely remove bolted and unbolted auto parts with skill and finesse to prevent damage. - Properly tag all parts in preparation for delivery. - Place parts in designated staging area. - Complete all necessary paperwork. - Maintain a neat and orderly work station. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Must possess the ability to follow instructions and to accept constructive feedback. - Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with customers, co-workers, and the general public. - Must be a self-motivated, hardworking, and dependable person. - Must be safety conscious. - Must possess the ability to be adaptable and willing to assist teammates. Tools and Equipment: - Forklift, Sawzall, Pallet Jack, Hand Tools, Impact Tools, and Vehicles. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: - Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. - Some job functions will be performed outside in the elements. Job Requirements: - Must be able to identify automotive parts. - Demonstrate mechanical ability. - Must be able to use hand tools, air tools, and power tools. - Ability to follow oral and/or written instruction. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to/from work. Experience: - Automotive Repair: 1 year (Required) - Parts Pulling: 1 year (Preferred) Compensation: Starts at $14 an hour based on experience.
