Pool Service Technician - Entry Level Pool Technician Apprentice: Entry Level/Level 1 Have you been looking for a change of career, do you like working outside or are you looking for employment in an essential business, if so, the pool industry may be just right for you! In this entry level position you will become an apprentice to Service Technicians and Maintenance Technicians and learn the skills needed to advance. Apprentices get to enjoy the great outdoors while they complete weekly pool service, opening and closings, and even some repairs! Northstar Pool Co. LLC is a family owned pool service, repairs, maintenance and renovation company that has operated in the northern NJ area for over 20 years! We pride ourselves on service excellence both for our customers and amongst our teams, this year Northstar Pool Co. LLC was awarded the silver medal for service maintenance at the Northeast Pool and Spa Association – Pool and Spa show. In this position you will be expected to demonstrate a good attitude, a solutions oriented approach and willingness/ability to learn new things. You will also be expected to work as part of a team ensuring that you and your team are prepared, organized, documenting and communicating effectively to optimize service quality and client satisfaction. Job Specifications: Education & Experience Required: Experience working in an outdoor environment. Experience in a labor job is a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Willingness to and capability to learn is a requirement. Proficient in English/ Spanish is a plus. Has the ability to work as part of a team. Has the ability to follow orders and instructions promptly and enthusiastically. Is self-motivated. Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality in all work-related matters. License is a plus. Work Environment: Outdoor environment including; rain, cold, sun, heat and wet damp areas. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Technicians are provided with all tools and equipment necessary to complete jobs. Will be under the direct supervision of a Technician. Must be available to work overtime when needed.
