Description
*the first pic is the turquoise female with carrot on her beak. It's not normally that color.
These two ladies are being rehomed only because I will be gone for several months traveling and have no one else to care for them.
The turquoise female (with the green head) is 7 years old, hand tamed, only loves me - the female person in the house. So she must go to a female owner. She can be fiesty at times as with any parrot so I prefer someone who understands their behavior. She will sit on you for hours if you let her. She has a weak right foot due to a past injury but gets around just fine.
The pied blue female is 1 and 1/2 years old, pretty nervous when you are right next to cage, was not hand raised, she was placed with the turquoise for added company and they have become friends. She will calm down as she gets used to her new home.
Both are fully-flighted, should not be clipped.
I am going to be very picky about who they go to. My ideal new owner would be female, someone who is home a lot, would like to keep these birds and their cage in same room with them for company, to interact with and enjoy their antics. They would not be suited for a family with young kids or dogs and cats. An older adult in a quiet home who loves birds and wants the company would be perfect. They do love their cage next to the window for fresh air and to watch the birds outside. Parrotlets are not very loud and are suitable for apartments.
They will come with their cage 30"x18"x18", dishes, and a new full bag of seed to get started.
Birds, cage, and seed are $125 FIRM. I do not want them resold for profit.
Please explain why you would be the perfect owner for these two.
I will ignore e-mails that show no real real interest or explanation as to why you want them.
