Stroll, sip wine and stop into Downtown Beaver Dam shops for a fun night out on the town. The Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce Wine Tour is an evening event that allows you to have fun and enjoy the downtown and some of our great shops and Chamber members. Explore the shops and businesses in Downtown Beaver Dam as you taste a variety of wines from Wisconsin. Registration includes a commemorative wine glass, wristband, wine samples and raffle ticket and specials at a variety of "Sip Stops". ~ TIMELINE ~ • 4:00 pm Registration opens • 5:00 Sampling begins • 5:00-8:00 Sampling • 8:00 pm Sampling ends ~ TICKETS ~ $35 ($45 day of) per person. Limited to 250 tickets. Must be 21 Designated drivers can attend for free. Tickets are non-refundable. ~ HOW IT WORKS ~ There are several Sip Stops on the Walk. Each Sip Stop will have samples available.Alcoholic sample sizes are limited to 1 – 2 ounces. A map will be given to you to mark the designated stops.Participants pick up their glass and bring their glass along to participating business to sample. (DUE TO COVID-19, THE REUSABLE GLASS MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR INDIVIDUAL DISPOSABLE SAMPLE CUPS) Be prepared to practice social distancing and limiting the number of participants in a participating business at one time. Face masks recommended for your safety. Attendees choose their own path along the walk and select which stops to visit. ~ HOW TO START ~ To start the Walk, each ticket holder must stop at the main check in location – Beaver Dam Area Chamber of Commerce between 8:30 am – 7:00 pm on the day of the event to show their ID (proof of legal drinking age) and to pick up their wristband, commemorative glass and map. You may also check-in a day early on Thursday between 8:30am and 4:30 pm. No samples will be poured prior to 5:00 pm.No ID = No Wristband; No wristband = No wine.You may NOT pick up wristbands for other people.Wristbands will be secured at check in. ~ THE RULES ~ Must be 21+. Must provide proof of legal age at wristband check in. No wine/beverages will be served prior to 5:30 pm. All wine glasses must be empty before leaving a Sip Stop location. No open intoxicants in public spaces! Please do not ask participating businesses to over pour or give you an extra swig. It's not worth breaking the pouring, over serving or open intoxicant law. If you appear intoxicated, business owners and servers have the right to refuse serving you. ~ TIPS ~Bring your ID. Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, you'll be walking outdoors between locations. Cross the street at crosswalks! Post photos to Instagram and Facebook using hashtag #BDWineTour
