This class is part of The Bard's Faire: An immersive Elizabethan experience. Come learn about Shakespeare and The Comedy of Errors "No Fear Shakespeare" will help you to prepare to attend performances of The Comedy of Errors and participate in the Bard's Faire. Aurora Beattie will offer 2 classes on June 12, 2021. They are both FREE!!! 3:00 - 5:00pm Family Class for all ages 6:00 - 8:00pm Adult Class (ages 16+) Class description: There is no such thing as "spoilers" when it comes to Shakespeare ! Chances are, if you have taken some time to study the plot or read some of the play, you will get so much more out of watching the performance. Come learn about Shakespeare and The Comedy of Errors. This class will give you tools to decode the language so that the story can come alive. By gaining this understanding you can gain an appreciation for the language and learn to love Shakespeare. The tools will be mostly taught through activities rather than straight-up lectures, as well as a story arc discussion of Comedy of Errors accomplishing 3 main goals: interactive learning increasing the likelihood of understanding the tools, building relationships between participants with shared experiences, and adding performing concepts in a safe fun way.
