Join our AMAZING team! We have an immediate need for a production assistant to help in our bustling warehouse. This position is a part time to full time position, with lots of growth opportunity. 30+ hours/week. Flexible schedule with opportunity for full-time and a super fun work environment! ABOUT US: Broken Top Candle Co. is one of Bend's leading soy candle manufacturers. Founded in 2015, we specialize in hand-poured, scented soy candles. To date, we have shipped thousands of orders and more than 30,000 candles throughout the nation. WHAT YOU'LL DO: This is a unique position to support planned growth within the business and become a key player in the company. You may be required to perform duties outside of the scope of this job description and the position can be demanding at times, with a possible influx of hours. As a Production Assistant you will primarily work to prep, pour and prepare candles and other beauty products. Full training will be given, and no experience with candle making is required, although it may be beneficial. Requirements, tasks and responsibilities include (but not limited to): o Able to stand during full shift. o Solo-lift up to 50 lbs over head, multiple times per day. o Keep shop standards high - clean and organize studio. o Apply labels to containers, attach prescribed wicks to container, with precision. o Load/Drain Wax Melter(s) o Cut or trim wicks to specified sizes, using scissors. o Grade and sort candles according to scent and size. o Scrape leftover wax from surfaces and equipment, using hand-tools. o May be required to record production data, for example name, flavor, and quantity of candles. o Use heat guns to smooth uneven candle surfaces. o Assist in managing and calculating raw material and finished product inventory. Experience in a warehouse or production atmosphere preferred. Ideal candidate will be driven, motivated, possess an extreme attention to detail, be able to work independently, and be on time.
