Summary: Constructs, builds, assembles, installs, or repairs structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, millwork, and siding, using carpenter's hand and power tools and performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Measures and marks cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. 2. Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. 3. Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. 4. Installs structures or fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware using carpenter's hand or power tools. 5. Builds or repairs doors, frameworks, floors or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, or power tools. 6. Performs physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. 7. Uses hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things. Education/Experience: One to two years related experience. Heavy equipment certifications a plus.
