The Emily Talk: Interacting with people with special needs Tom Felter, Jr is a paramedic. He is also the father of Emily. Emily has Down Syndrome and does not see or interact with the world the way many people do. She can't adjust to others- they need to adjust to her. With professional experience, life stories, and a touch of humor Tom and Emily will help us learn how people like Emily see the world and how we can best help people like her in our professional and every day lives. Lunch will be provided at 11:00am and Tom and Emily will begin their presentation approximately 30 minutes later. We look forward to seeing you!
