The Palouse Continuing Education Consortium, which includes Counseling Services at both Washington State University and University of Idaho, is a non-profit group that has been organizing continuing education workshops for mental health professionals in the region for at least 20 years. The Consortium was inactive for 2-3 years, following personnel changes of active participants, but was reactivated with a networking breakfast in January 2011. The Consortium planning committee is made up of psychologists from both universities and a variety of mental health professionals from the universities and the local communities (Moscow, ID and Pullman, WA). Our commitment is to provide opportunities for providers to network and be informed of available services in the area as well as to provide high quality continuing education at affordable prices. Workshops and networking breakfasts draw participants from about a 50-75 mile radius of the universities.
