This first ever event of Don Keathley ministries is more than a meeting, it is a gathering & retreat. It is a time for fun & learning Dr. Don Keathley, that founder of Don Keathley Ministries and Global Grace Seminary is a former pastor( of over 40 years) and now a teacher, and author . Dr. Don Keathley brings a religion freeing pure Grace message summed up in the statement: ‘Jesus plus nothing’. Don’s most recent book is ‘Religion Busters’ His first book’Hell’s Illusion’ is also a must read. Andre Oosthuizen , founder of the Trinitarian Initiative, is a renowned theologian who’s messages have gone around the world. Robin Smit ,a Very Stong Grace teacher, is the author of two books: It is Finished’, and ‘Awakened’, and rounds out our very special lineup of guest speakers. The gathering retreat will kick off Thursday night August 5 at 7:00 PM. On Friday and Saturday the meetings will be at 8:30 AM - 10:30AM for the morning session And 7 PM to 9 PM for the evening session. There will be breakout sessions after each meeting approximately 45 minutes in length to discuss in small groups well we have heard, they have coffee/juice etc. and discuss amongst ourselves and with the speakers. The time in between the morning session and the evening session is designated as free time. Spend it however you want. There are notable venues around town to visit if you like, including: Cadillac Ranch, DHDC - Don Harrington Discovery Center, Wildcat Bluff nature Center, a Cinemark 16 Plex movie theater( just across the parking lot from the Holiday Inn West) And if you really feel adventurous visit our sister City Canyon Texas which house the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon State Park. (30 min away) If you just feel like relaxing in the park, Medi park lake complex has walking trails and plenty of shade trees to relax, talk, visit, listen to music, while enjoying the pleasant surroundings. You can relax and comfort inn very spacious accommodations in a safe and secure environment. One view of the Medi park lake complex. The Don Harrington discovery Center is a great place for families and young kids to learn about many topics as related to science. The wildcat Bluff nature Center is open to the public at no cost. Nestled in an area he wouldn’t think you’d find within the flatter City confines. This is a great experience for individuals and families. This is a picture of the lighthouse at Palo Duro Canyon State Park. There are many trails to hike as well as go bicycling. There are also camping areas available . It is a beautiful canyon, second only to the Grand Canyon in size ,in Arizona. This 16 movieplex theatre is now open, and just across the parking lot from Holiday Inn West - Our Hotel. The Amarillo botanical Gardens are full of beautiful lush plants and flowers. It is within the medical West complex and the price is very modest. This is Route 66 made famous in books in television. It is located on sixth Street in Amarillo,Which has many antique shops boutique shops, bars and restaurants, with several music venues. Lots of fun. Don’s teaching has touched many lives over the past 20 years. His message is profound and yet simple: In theological terms, Best rendered as ‘there is no biblical law that can or should be mixed with Pure Grace. It’s not about a magic prayer, or becoming a church member. It is about finding who you are in Christ Jesus. This is me, and Sherman Eastland, co-host for this event. We are at 1:05 or six homegrown barbecue restaurants in Amarillo and they are all delicious. Tyler’s barbecue. Dyers barbecue, Henks & Doug’s bar BQ, Larry’s Barbecue to name a few. Today’s lunch was delicious, and less than 10 minutes from our hotel.
