Join the COOLEST kids in town! The Young Authors’ Club is the place to be! The YAC Creative Writing Camp is not writing as you know it! School is out and it’s time to have some fun in the sun! The YAC is designed to instruct and enrich promising students in a hands-on, experiential and fun atmosphere, while fostering their writing abilities. This camp will provide an opportunity for youth to discover the power and excitement of creative writing. Every young scribe will be inspired and encouraged to hone their writing skills in an exciting, interactive environment. They will learn about the writing process, how to be an organized writer, and most of all, how to generate creative thoughts. Your ticket cost includes EVERYTHING! That is: Breakfast, lunch, snacks, writing supplies, art supplies, camp T-shirt, and tickets for immediate family members to the Writers’ Cafe on Friday at noon, where writers get to read their pieces for their family. At the cafe (same location), we will have lunch, good music, and then hear some great stories! We'd love to have you become a part of the YAC! July 26th-30th, 2021 Monday-Friday 8:00am-12:00Noon Ages 9-15 (*The YAC reserves the right to refuse or suspend any student we feel will hinder the fun, emotionally and physically safe learning environment of our camp.) The Young Authors’ Club is systematically designed for youth 9-15 yrs old. It’s our way to creatively engage students in a way that’s so fun and interactive, the students forget they are learning. We strategically plan our camp at the end of the summer and just before school begins, to get the students’ brains wired before school starts again.
