Networking I Local Bands I Artist Showcases I Fashion I Day Parties I Master Classes I Musician Jam I Health Fair I 11 DJs I Comedy I Drama We integrate music, art, dance, dialogue, education, social causes, business, fashion, empowerment, drama, and entertainment all into one social stream of consciousness that we collectively call THE CULTURE. Set to occur pre and post Third Friday Durham's monthly art walk and gallery crawl, The Festivals of Art, Thought, and Culture allow for total immersion into artful, 3-day weekend experiences that will entertain, educate, inspire, and challenge you. The Festivals occur Thursday - Saturday, and sometimes include drama on Sundays. Collections of artwork featuring local artists rotate at The Fruit in accordance with the Festivals. The collections are available for viewing for three additional weeks after each Festival. Most of the artwork is for sale. One wristband covers the entire weekend. Attend just one session or hang out with us for the entire Festival weekend. The theme of the Festivals change every month so there is always new and fresh content. You are sure to have a good time and will probably learn something, too. Our seasonal lineups offer opportunities for you to totally immerse yourself in a utopia of monthly, artful weekend experiences that will entertain, educate, inspire, and challenge you. The Festivals of Arts Thought, and Culture work in strategic partnership with THE FRUIT (durhamfruit.com), a social enterprise and creative playground, dedicated to visual and performing arts, including dance, painting, photography, and drama. THE FRUIT is a great rental space for art exhibits, photo and video shoots, warehouse parties, music performances, weddings, theatre, group meetings, workshops, retreats, conferences, album releases, fundraisers, film screenings, reunions, and a host of other events.
