The Seventh Annual Alpha Phi Alpha Charity Golf Classic supporting the Youth Life Skills Institute. The Youth Life Skills Institute Inc., incorporated in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) and a youth initiative of Alpha Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Its mission is to “Connect, engage, and facilitate the participation of school-aged children in life skill’s programs that enrich, empower, and enlighten their lives.” Proceeds from the Golf Tournament funds initiatives of the Alpha Pi Lambda Chapter such as scholarships, the Lowden Anderson Science Fair Awards with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, and other related programs.
