New Officers and Members at Wakefield Sons and Daughters of Italy

For the first time since the summer, the Wakefield Lodge met outside and in person for the May ceremonies initiating new members and installing new officers. It was a very happy gathering behind Laurie's 909, although everyone was bundled in warm coats or under blankets. New members Vinny, Ellen, and Anita were officially initiated. The following officers were installed: Paula Sasso, President Laurie Rizzo, Vice President Debbie Tremblay, Orator Adriana Guida, Immediate Past President Carolyn Faria, Recording Secretary James Marino, Financial Secretary Tracy Vincent, Treasurer Rosemary Finn, Joanne Szczsuil, Alice Dailey, and Toni Encarnacao, Trustees Pat Ectman, Mistress of Ceremonies Diana Ayers, Guard There was discussion about plans for the upcoming year. Activities, the Lodge's annual charity auction, and other fund raisers were presented for consideration. The lodge did a great job of staying connected and doing fun activities throughout the challenging pandemic year of 2020. Most members were able to remain safe and healthy, and all are grateful for that. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 8 in Stoneham (weather permitting).
