Crochet Class: Making A Scarf. Week 1 Introduction to Crochet- discuss crochet terms.Talk about different yarn and types of needles.Demonstrate the chain stitch.Demonstrate how to hold the needle and yarn.Practice chain stitch with appropriate tension and stitch length. Week 2 Begin scarfDemonstrate how to start at the last stitch and make a single crochet stitch. Week 3 Continue work on scarf.Make a small Practice Scarf to practice different stitches such as front post and back post stitches.Week 4 With Practice scarf, demonstrate how to make a double crochet.Week 5 With Practice Scarf, demonstrate front post and back post crochet stitches.Week 6 Complete scarf.
