2 Quincy Organizations Receive Racial Equity Grants

QUINCY, MA — Two Quincy organizations are the recipients of Racial Equity Grants from Rockland Trust's affiliated charitable foundations, according to a news release from Rockland Trust. Quincy Economic Development Corporation and Bay State Community Service will both receive funding for internal and organizational work that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. These initiatives can include trainings, policy reviews, audits, and community-based programs. "We were extremely impressed by the thoughtful nature of the applications we received," said Edward H. Seksay, President and Chair of the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation and Rockland Trust-Blue Hills Charitable Foundation, in a statement. "These grants exemplify our steadfast DEI commitment and our ongoing support of local nonprofits. We are pleased to provide the funding that will fuel meaningful DEI impact in these organizations and in the communities we serve." According to Rockland Trust, over $200,000 has been awarded to 45 local nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
