WAUWATOSA, WI — Fire and water damaged three apartments after the Wauwatosa Fire Department extinguished a balcony fire at a three story apartment building early Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported in the fire in the 1200 block of 68th Stret a little after 2 a.m. Fire crews found two balconies on fire when they arrived at a three story, 20-unit apartment building. The Wauwatosa Fire Department, with the help of the Milwaukee Fire Department, extinguished the fire in less than 15 minutes, the department said. A tenant called 911 after they were alerted by the building alarm system and noticed fire coming from their neighbor's balcony, fire officials said. The fire appears to have started on a balcony, officials said. The fire investigation has been closed by the Wauwatosa Fire Marshall.
