Free booth space at an exhibition of local businesses and organizations at Texas A&M University- Texarkana! The beginning of each school year is an exciting time not only for our students, but for our community as well. This year, as our University continues to grow, we are welcoming a new group of residential students. During the first week of school, we will host a week long series of events called “The Best Week Ever.” This week is dedicated to welcoming our students by offering engaging activities such as dance parties, carnivals, comedians, and lots more. We would like to invite you to take part in a staple event during this week, our 12th Annual Spotlight on Texarkana, scheduled Tuesday, August 24th, from 11:00am-1:00pm on our beautiful University Center Lawn. At this event, we invite community businesses, organizations, clubs, and resources to set up a table highlighting their goods/services to our students, faculty, and staff. You will have a unique opportunity to reach out to our newest community members, and show them what Texarkana and our community have to offer. There is no cost for you to set up a table at this event. We typically have a great turn out from our community with approximately 50 tables and over 400 people attending the event. To ensure the safety of our campus and community, we will be hosting this event outdoors to allow ample space for distancing. We will have tents or other covered areas for our vendors who need it. Please feel free to bring anything you want to set up your table, and any coupons, handouts, or giveaways that you want to give our students. Our only rule is that you cannot actually SELL anythign onsite.
