Our teams have local knowledge and expertise to help our renters get the most out of their vacation, and all of our vans are custom built in-house and hand-painted by local artists in LA. Seasonal Escape Specialist The Escape Specialist at all locations will be a crucial member of the team and will be touching every piece of the Escape experience. In this position, you will be supported by your Area Manager/Manager and our home office in Denver, while managing the entire process of prepping, cleaning and troubleshooting vans in preparation for customers’ van life adventures. The job picks up tremendously in our peak season (May thru Oct) and there may be opportunities for more hours based on volume needs. POSITION SUMMARY Escape Campervans is growing very quickly which means we get a LOT of inbound interest. We are looking for an Escape Specialist to join our team! We need the right person to be the welcoming friendly face of our brand, to answer any and all questions, get customers excited about their upcoming trip and provide top-notch customer service. We also need this person to address and solve any customer issues that arise with urgency and professionalism. The other key component of this role is overseeing the readiness of our campervans. This position ensures vans are cleaned, detailed and serviced up to company standards. This individual is responsible for ensuring proper functionality of all elements of the campervan fit out such as the sink, refrigerators, lights, stove, and other components to confirm campervans are road ready. This role is extremely hands-on – don’t expect to spend much time sitting behind a computer at a desk! Our campervans are as much hotels on wheels as they are vehicles. They have bedding, kitchen tables, curtains, and lots of nooks and crannies which get exposed to the elements while on camping trips. If you have housekeeping/hotel experience, this might be a great fit for you! RESPONSIBILITIES Include but not limited to the following: • Ensure all vans are prepped and ready for pickup • Schedule pickup times with the guests • Work with local mechanic and dealership partners to complete regular preventative maintenance checks • Problem-solve, schedule and fix van and customer service issues when they arise • Keep depot clean, tidy and professional • Always follow the company brand manifesto and brand values • Follow all company COVID-19 safety protocols Customer Pickup & Dropoff • Complete checklist to ensure campervans are ready for customer pick up – fully stocked, safety checks, cleaned and previous renter feedback addressed • Offer travel tips, campsite and itinerary questions • Perform a detailed van review upon drop off: eg. check for damage, troubleshoot problems, help dispose of trash/leftovers Campervan Prep • Detailed cleaning of the interior & exterior of the campervan immediately upon return • Prepping the campervan prior to a rental • Wash dishes • Fold laundry • Fill water tanks • Set up kits and ensure all items are properly included in the rental according to the reservation • Preform final touch before pickup Light Mechanical • Fluid top offs • Tire pressure checks and top ups • Fridge Battery/Solar panel check • Water pump check • Ensure full tank of gas • Interior repairs (eg curtains) • Wiper blade replacement REQUIREMENTS: • Hard worker • Attention to detail • Positive, engaging attitude • Must be able to work weekends, nights & holidays • Self-starter. • Demonstrates ability to work independently in stressful situations • Must be able to pass a background check QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Graduate, Associates Degree or higher preferred • 1-3 years of previous work experience desired • Outdoor industry/hotel experience desired • Guide, resorts, retail, front desk, housekeeping, vehicle detailing/cleaning or related industry are encouraged to apply • Light mechanical aptitude • Clean driving record • Strong computer Skills – Excel, Outlook, Word • Ability to learn reservations software system quickly • Ability to lift 50 lbs • Passion for travel, adventure and the general outdoors • Positive, engaging attitude BENEFITS: • Hiring bonus paid out at 30 days of employment • On-site position (remote work not available) • Seasonal position with flex hours dependent on volume • Compensation based on experience • Fun, lively work environment
