Plant walk in Boca Raton Join Andrew Gerren (Resilient Farmer Drew) Ethnobotanist, Herbalist, and Sustainable Farmer to learn about wild edible and medicinal plant identification. You will also learn ethnobotanical skills and begin to understand the diversity of wild plants that provide us with food, medicine, and survival purposes. This walk is suitable for all learning levels. It will give you a foundation about plant's therapeutic roles and how they can be incorporated into your use of plants for phytomedicine, food, or ecological purposes. The exact meeting location will be sent out to you (via email) upon registration. Pre-register and receive a printout with most of the plant species' names to make note-taking easier. Cash payment for the walk can be given on the day of the walk (preferred). Although you can pre-register TO SAVE YOUR SPOT, I also can take credit cards ahead of time and in-person (directly through Sacred Herbs and Botanicals, LLC). Children 13 and under are free! He is also founder of Sacred Herbs and Botanicals a small herbal products company. Andrew is avid wild food and medicinal plant forager and enthusiast and shares a passion for ethnopharmacopia (cultural plant use to treat disease-states), ethnoecology (focuses on the complex relationships, both past and present, between human societies and their environment), and and the cosmologis that make up indigenous healing practices and pharmacopeia‘s.
