Downtown Clearwater Exhibit Brings 'Shock & Awe-Some" to the Wearable Art Genre Second in the series brings 9 new artists to The District! "Shock and Awe-some"That's the premise of Lina Teixeira's new production, "Wearable Art in Downtown Clearwater." The community's resident "prova-couture" designer is bringing in world-renowned artists to showcase their creations in display windows which formerly housed the latest in Floridian fashions. Lina's been known to turn things on their heads, and this new exhibit is no exception. "Wearable Art is at the intersection of art and fashion," she explains "instead of making merely 'a fashion statement,' my designers make an artistic statement. My vision has always been to be a transformative agent in the Wearable Art world - taking common materials and turning them into "uncommon couture." The Reveal Reception will take place inside Pour Yours, 522 Cleveland Street in downtown Clearwater (free parking at the City Garage - Garden Street - 1/2 block south of the 500 block of Cleveland). Complimentary champagne and sorbet will be served. The event is free to attend.   I believe that passion is the key to an organization's success.
