Description
The earth rotates every 24 hours, and the earth is 25,000 miles at the equator. That means people at the equator are travelling at about 1,000 miles per hour; dividing that speed by the square root of the radius of the earth, we in the Chicago area are travelling at about 667 miles per hour. At that rate, if you're facing west, the speed will prevent the virus from escaping your mask (hence the term escape velocity); if you're facing east, the virus sill be travelling faster than the speed of sound, and the little sonic booms will warn you that the virus is headed your way. If you're facing north or south, the earth's magnetism will pull the virus to the ground. If you're facing at any other angle to the direction of the rotation, kiss your ass goodbye.
Sounds neat, huh? I just made it up.
