Here are the top two stories in Laurel today: 1. Celebrate Juneteenth with free craft kits from Laurel Historical Society! Supplies are limited so they are unable to provide more than two kits per household. No payment or credit card is needed. Kits MUST be picked up between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on June 11 at the Laurel Museum on Main Street. Please do not register for a kit if you will be unable to pick it up. Send an email to [email protected] to be placed on the waiting list if this item is sold out. (Facebook) 2. Wawa held their Grand Opening on 9600 Ft. Meade Road this Thursday! Mayor Craig A. Moe and City Council members were there to help cut the ribbon. Laurel's First Responders, Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad Company 49 and Laurel Police Department, received $1,000 each to donate to their designated charity! Stop by the new store, check it out and enjoy their free coffee for the next 10 days.
