Excavation Assistant / Pipe Layer

We are looking for a candidate who is ready to work in the dirt! This job is hard! You will literally be in ditches digging with a hand shovel. Guaranteed to go home tired and dirty every night! You will be responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes. Aligns pipes and seals joints together. This position is full-time/year round. Hours are typically 7:00 - 4:30 Monday through Friday. Most of our work is located in Seattle. Preferred Skills: Excavation Laborer experience Experience laying pipe and working with underground utilities Bilingual Russian (or Ukrainian) and English speaking candidate desired but not required. A successful candidate will also have the following traits: Positive Attitude Adaptable and Flexible Reliable Transportation Valid Driver's License Be reliable and dependable - You need to be on time everyday! Self Motivated Enjoys working outside Willing to do what it takes to get the job done! Willing to get dirty....it is part of the job! Requirements: Knowledge of basic hand tool use Know how to read a tape measure Ability to safely lift 80lbs Pass a background check Pass a drug test Ready to learn!
