Ballard Reuse, an architectural salvage and used building materials warehouse, is looking for a new FULL TIME member to join our Salvage Crew! Our mission is to keep as much out of the landfill as possible while catalyzing creative reuse in our city. Construction materials make up around 40% of America's yearly 250 Million tons of waste produced (crazy!) and we are doing what we can to shrink that number. We take pride in educating our community on ways to reuse, recycle and waste less. Our growing list of customers includes homeowners, contractors, business owners, artists and the occasional neighborhood celebrity! As a member of our salvage crew your job will include removing building materials, architectural components and all of the treasures found in houses, retail spaces or office buildings around Seattle. Our optimal applicant would have some construction or labor experience along with the drive and interest to save materials from the past. Requirements: Current WA State driver license with clean record Ability to lift 50-100 lbs on a regular basis Responsible for own basic hand tools and cordless drill Can work well in a team as well as independently Successful candidates may have: -Strong work ethic -Some knowledge of residential construction -Mechanical aptitude -Good communication skills -Knowledge of architectural styles -Passion for saving materials Benefits: -Company-paid health insurance -Sick leave and PTO -Employee discount -Set 4-day work week with three consecutive days off
