CAMP SPRINGS — Somebody set a Camp Springs 7-Eleven on fire Saturday with Molotov cocktails, officials said. An incident report noted that this was the second Molotov cocktail attack on this store and the third that Prince George's County has seen this year. Authorities do not know if the fires are related. The most recent blaze started around 1:10 a.m. in the 6400 block of Auth Road, the write-up clarified. Investigators alleged that the suspect placed two cocktails, which are devices that set fires, inside the occupied store. The Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department explained that it extinguished the flames and found no injuries. Officials estimated that the building sustained $5,000 in damage. Investigators think the suspect escaped with multiple accomplices. The first Molotov blaze happened on Jan. 6 at the same location, the press release informed. The second followed on Jan. 16 at a Temple Hills convenience store in the 3400 block of Dallas Drive, the report advised. The fire department asked anybody with information on any of the three open cases to call 301-77ARSON (301-772-7766). Tipsters can stay anonymous. "These are dangerous crimes," Fire Chief Tiffany Green said in the release.
