PARAMUS, NJ — A "wire fire" has closed a portion of Fairview Avenue in Paramus, but the fire has been put out, Paramus police officials said. No information was immediately available about where the fire started, but Fairview Avenue is closed from Madison Avenue to Carlough Drive in both directions as of 8:39 a.m. Detours are in place. Farview Ave will be closed from Madison to Carlough in both directions due to police and fire activity.
