AUSTIN, TX — As Austin begins to lift COVID-19 restrictions this summer, Capital Metro will offer free weekend rides through Fourth of July.
The transportation authority announced Wednesday the free weekend rides will begin Saturday and will continue through July 4.
"Whether you're eating your way through the city's food scene, checking out live music or enjoying the great outdoors, we've got direct routes to get you back to what you love," officials said.
Some direct routes to popular activities this summer will be to Austin FC's Q2 Stadium (bus and rail route), Paramount's Summer Classic Film Series (bus and rail route), Mueller Trailer Eats through routes 10 or 350, The Picnic Food Truck Park on Barton Springs using route 30, Thicket Food Park using route 10, Zilker Park, Lady Bird Lake, Auditorium Shores, The Domain, South Congress and The Drag.
