Hello I am rehoming a 12 year old male cockatoo, he is tame and very sweet. He does have some separation anxiety and does scream when he wants attention just like a typical cockatoo. He does talk and he makes a wide assortment of different sounds, he hasn't quite mastered dancing but he does show potential. Im rehoming him through no fault of his own, he is seriously a sweet bird and a fantastic companion but I can't afford his care anymore. He does have some plucking, but it does seem to be coming back in nicely but anyone who adopts him should still be prepared for the possibility that he may never grow them back and love him anyway. He needs someone who can provide him with LOTS of attention. This is not a beginner bird, he requires contact with his person consistently throughout the day and if he had it his way that would be all day long. He doesn't like to be left in his cage and wants to be with you and be able to see you. He sleeps in his cage just fine and once he is in his cage for bed time he doesn't make a noise. Hes not really a toy oriented guy, he likes to throw sticks and loves bells but his main thing is that he wants to be with you all the time and just have an eye on you. He comes with his very nice XL cage that has a bunch of toys and perches in it, a standalone perch that has food and water bowls on it, and all of his food and treats. His rehoming is 2500 or best reasonable offer. I'm not in a rush at all and I will wait to find him the right forever home that fulfills ALL of his needs. NO apartments at all, these are not apartment birds. Please do your research on these birds before emailing me, they are extremely loud and demanding, they are very smart and can be destructive if not properly cared for. The vet bills are expensive, the toys are expensive, food and treats are expensive, they require fresh fruits and vegetables every single day which they will waste 90% of it, and they can be very bipolar birds.
